Ribera del Duero, Spain
back to the listing
Established by the Rivera-Aparicio family in 2004, the Bodega owns 20 hectares of superb vineyards in scattered plots in some of the best sites around Pesquera de Duero. The vines are truly ancient with many over 80 years old giving low yield of fabulously concentrated fruit. In a short space of time the wines have gained international recognition thanks to some fine press reviews in America. The Tinto is aged for 10 months in predominantly new French oak barrels and is full of black cherry and liquorice with fine tannins, whilst the TF sees 16 months in barrel and is fuller with more substantial tannins and richer notes of eucalyptus and spice. |
